☂I have a theory. Or rather, a theory somebody told me. And it's a Mycroft theory, but it'll be interesting even if you're not a Mycroft person like me.☂
☂So you know how they shot that scene in Season 3 where Mycroft laughs at Sherlock's grave? (Trust me, that was in an interview.) And the fact that Mycroft helped Sherlock with monetary issues (or something) because he knew he'd be gone in the books?☂
☂And the fact that there was no keycode?☂
☂Because Mycroft apparently tortured Moriarty for the keycode that didn't exist. And I believe (or rather the person who told me the theory believes) that Mycroft's too smart to actually do something like believe there was a keycode when there wasn't.☂
☂So he gave him the information knowing that nothing would come out of it.☂
☂And why?☂
☂I'm guessing he knew Moriarty would kill himself.☂
☂But Sherlock doesn't appear to have been informed of this plan...☂
